About me

Samantha Fitt, Clinical Psychologist

I work with adults who are experiencing difficulties including stress, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and post-traumatic symptoms. I also work with people who want to nurture better relationships with themselves and others. I use evidence-based approaches to therapy, tailored to each individual person.

I draw on attachment theory and recent findings in the field of neuroscience. I use metacognitive therapy, schema therapy, somatic approaches, and trauma processing techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I also offer clinical supervision and am a Board Approved Supervisor.

My background and qualifications

My road to becoming a Clinical Psychologist was a long and winding one!

After finishing my postgraduate studies as a mature-aged student, I worked for ten years with young people and families in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Since moving into private practice in 2020, I have primarily focused on working with adults.
